Mr. President Welcome to The Blush of the Morning Sun

After so much anticipation, protests, photo opportunities and alarms proved false, the day has come. At 4.37pm, on 19th August precisely, the eagle landed from soaring heights of the skies in Abuja, Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.

Mr. President is welcome back to Nigeria as he awakes to the crimson blush of the morning sun in Aso Rock.  This flush of the morning brings forth supplication that his arrival will bring forth to so many in Nigeria a rosy coloured sunrise.

We are much aware that for a hundred days or more the circumstances of his health has corralled him in London to days filled with sunrise crystallized in ash-gray and raging orange.

Now we urge Mr. President as he prepares to address the nation to acquaint himself with the reality that Nigerians simply cannot continue with business as usual. Whilst he has been away intrigues have been at play, the corrupt emboldened, incompetence on display and lethargy has set into governance.

In the place of praise singing, sycophancy and overt sentimentality let the President engineer action in the parlance of L. K. Jakande and begin to deliver on the change he so often promised us.  Anything short of this will fail to convince the many that he is ready to take up the reins and that his covalence is over.

The urgency brimming in his in-tray are the resolution of the ASUU strike, the reshuffle and replacement of wood so laden in his cabinet amongst so many.  The Ag. President has given a little incline of how governance can be administered and Mr. President must supprass it or give way.
