The Prestigious Nigerian Writers Awards (NWA) is a project which is set to reward excellence,
celebrate Nigerian Writers, encourage and create a synergy between budding and established
writers in Nigeria and to brand the Nation positively though the skills of writing. The Award
ceremony is a yearly event and the first-of-its-kind awards for all writers of different genres
in Nigeria to come together and celebrate their successes over the year.

This year's edition of the Awards ceremony will hold at a gala dinner in October 2015 in
Nigeria where Nigerian writers, legends, youths, budding and established writers will come
together to celebrate with 20 major categories and 23 awards. The awards will consider
nominations of writers who have proven their worth and commitment in writing, entries
will be received from individuals, private sectors, civil society or government and will
be rewarded based on the categories.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:
There will be thorough screening on nominees; The Award Jury is composed of individuals
of high moral stature with demonstrated commitment to the ideals of the Nation and

Send the Name of the Nominee, Brief about the Nominee, Nominees Works
(Web links or soft copies),
ensure you include which category(ies) you are nominating for and send to nominate@nigerianwritersawards.com.
Or log on to www.nigerianwritersawards.com click on NOMINATE tab on the website then
follow the instructions. The Nomination period will end on the 10th of September, 2015
after which there will be pre-selection after the deadline of nominations.
